Website Promotion and Marketing Using the Latest Google SEO Tools and Techniques

Businesses and companies in today's economy are turning more to exploring what SEO professionals can do for them to improve the chances of their website being noticed by ordinary internet visitors or by people who are searching for specific services and very narrow types of services offered online. The possibility of occupying top levels of webpage display results on Google are very slim if the company has not been working on optimizing its keywords or hired a professional to do this for them. It really takes an experienced online marketing firm to help business or company to provide successful internet promotion using keywords and help them grow significantly by optimizing search engine performance.

The fees charged by online marketing companies to improve SEO or AMP status of a website are not utterly high and justified because this type of promotional enhancement requires some tweaking and adjusting depending on the company's website resources. The specialists of SEO marketing firm can provide specific and detailed advice regarding the steps and stages of performance improvement in order for the company to hit first pages of Google search when clients or customers perform keyword lookup online when looking for particular service or product they would like to buy. By comparing the number of hits in a certain period of time, the site statistics can be seen and the improvement can be presented and evaluated in real numbers to see how the progress with optimization increases their leads and how search engine functionality plays a role and positively impacting the number of visitors brought to the website.

This kind of automated tracking and ability to adjust the results of promotional campaign creates dramatic difference between AMP or SEO based promotion and more traditional marketing approaches, such as advertisement in its most basic sense or trying to attract clients by posting rigid and not always useful backlinks and meta-tags.

During the optimization process, it is also possible to discover what side of business or sphere of activity it had been missing on because due to search results and statistical assessment of clicks and hits, companies can discover a certain niche in the market not presently or previously occupied, or can discover that competition in the local area is very slow and by offering certain products or services in demand as indicated by optimization process, can be successfully offered and sold according to the customer demand. Also, based on keyword statistics and analysis of hits in a certain period of time, companies can become able overcome its competitor firms by offering a specialized or very narrow niche product or service and thereby eliminate any type of competition completely and for long time.

When SEO or AMP projects are initiated, the experts in internet-based promotion will also evaluate and redesign their approaches to finding new customers and targeting their audience in the area of business. In this respect keyword search is becoming a powerful and smart mechanism of analyzing consumer behavior and catering to their needs better which will most certainly have an immediate impact on leads generation and the overall online success.

When selecting a contractor for redesigning internet marketing to suit SEO, it is recommended that the business performs thorough research in regards to quality and experience of website promoter based on their portfolio or work history.

How To Boost Mobile Conversions For Your Site

When it comes to creating a mobile site, established websites normally create mobile versions of their sites intended for desktops. Listing their mobile pages in a mobile .xml sitemap and marking-up pages using a mobile standard such as WML goes some way to ensuring pages are presented correctly to mobile users. New mobile websites, however, are also using the new standard CSS3 to tailor pages to specific browsers and devices.

Developing an efficient and user-friendly mobile website, however, is not simply a matter for the technical team. Users who can't find the checkout symbol or are unable to see sections of the website they want are sure to leave, and with a negative impression too.

Ensuring your site is mobile-friendly is essential for increasing conversion rates. Mobile search users are normally on-the-go, they will therefore spend less time on the site and may not wait as long for a page to load. It's therefore essential that you support a good mobile experience with fast page load times.

Remember when it comes to mobile site optimisation, one solution does not fill all. The size of buttons and text needs to be adjusted, to avoid users spending unnecessary time zooming in and out. Vertical scrolling is also preferred for mobile sites, as opposed to both vertical and horizontal scrolling for desktop versions.

Special features such as click-to-call are key for mobile sites. Mobile users are clearly much more likely to make a call than desktop users, so why not make it easier for them? Even if your business doesn't convert over a telephone, offering this option allows users to gain more information or enquire about products or services, and more importantly, makes the user-experience much more enjoyable.

In terms of actually enticing users to convert, large, clear calls to action are even more important for mobile sites. This should be visible above the fold, so that users do not have to scroll to the bottom of the page to see it. Clear calls to action promote impulse buying, especially in the case of mobile and also make clear to users what they should do next.

Analytics can play an important role in keeping track of your mobile site's performance and let's you understand how users are engaging with your site on various mobile platforms. In terms of conversion rate optimisation, high bounce rates may highlight problems with certain pages or how users interact with them.

Finally, it's essential that mobile sites are tested at regular intervals to ensure they are being presented correctly on mobile devices.

How To Create Unique Content for Your Fansite

If you want your fansite to stand out from the crowd, it's important that you write unique content.

Unfortunately, creating a unique news post or page is not that easy without knowing what to talk about and how to promote it.

So let's take a look at ways you can create unique content that is worth reading!

Interviews.

Interviews are a great way of creating amazing unique content for your website. Even if the interviewee is being interviewed by multiple sites, it will be unique.

This is based on the fact that people almost never say the same exact thing twice. Maybe they'll say the same thing but in different words, which means that it's different.

The Interview Story

When the video game 'Red Dead Redemption' was published by Rockstar Games, we tried to get an interview with voice actor behind the main character of the game, John Marston.

After a lot of surfing on the web, we found his email address and wrote him a little email explaining who we are and what we wanted to do. I recommend doing this as well when you are trying to get an interview. Take a look and try to learn from it.

'Dear,

My name is and I'm the founder of , a Rockstar Games fansite.

We cover everything made by Rockstar Games, from their games to their clothes; pretty much every detail is covered!

Now that Red Dead Redemption is released, we would like to interview you about the role you played in the game: John Marston. We think that John Marston is an amazing character and his voice is perfect, your voice is perfect!

If you are able to do this interview, the process will look like this:

1. We will send you a list of questions to this email address.

2. You'll answer the questions and send them back to us.

3. We will publish the interview and send you a link to it.

We're hoping that you want to answer some of our questions.

Congratulations on a great game!

Take Aways

Always be personal, don't be a cold person that only wants to do 'business'. After we've sent that email to him, we got a response about 2 days later with: "Sure! Let's do this guys!"

Invest in what you are doing even if it's an interview because when you do it with care, it will come back to you big time.

In my case, it was pretty easy getting the correct email address but it can be a real chore to get the correct email address or contact information.

But don't give up. Most of the time, you can interview somebody who has something to do with your subject. You don't have to shoot for the starts right away.

Interviews, make good use of them!

Guides

Writing guides about your subject is also a very good way of creating unique content. Let's look at an example from my own Rockstar Games fansite.

Example 1: The Audi R8

Rockstar Games released the game: Midnight Club Los Angeles.

If a player reached certain kinds of goals, they would be able to get the Audi R8 inside the game. This car wasn't 'for sale' inside the game, so you had to earn it.

To make the process of getting that Audi R8 lot faster and easier we write a guide about how to do it.

Even to this day, that little guide gets over 100+ views every day, the value of that guide is so high people come back to it time and again to learn more about that Audi R8 and how to possess it.

Example 2: Your Subject.

You can write guides about anything, not just games or virtual things. Let's say you are really into cooking and you have a website about cooking.

Now you've created the ultimate recipe fries. You can write a guide about that and share your knowledge with the world! It will drive visitors to your fansite and create a community!

Opinion Pieces.

The last one we are going to look at is your opinion. It's your website and it's not strange if you give your opinion about your subject.

It's a smart thing to write an opinion article once in a while, an example.

Why I think:...

On my Rockstar Games fansite, I wrote an article about the game-size of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I felt the urge to express myself about the scope of the game. This is the most unique content you can create because it comes from inside of you. I wrote the article and it was about 800 words long. After I published it, the fansite skyrocketed! New and regular visitors loved to read my opinion about the size of that game, the replies flooded the website!

Of course that's a good thing. My visitors started to discuss in a friendly manner and people were making friends.

And this wonderful event was ignited by just 1 opinion piece that I wrote deep in the night.

Conclusion.

The 3 ways to create unique content are just the tip of the iceberg. There are a lot of things you can do to write one of a kind stuff. I hope you enjoyed this article and stay tuned for more!

What Is The Future For QR Codes?

The Future is Bright for QR codes. 20.1 million users is a respectable number but experts agree this number will grow significantly, in keeping with the aggressive growth trend in usage over the last few years. Interestingly enough, while usage is up, how these codes are being used is changing significantly.

Unlike a printed brochure or poster, the QR code is one marketing tactic that you can create for free! There are many free code generator services, all you need to do is run a search for these on Google. What makes the use of these codes so successful as one of your marketing tactics is the way in which you strategically use codes as part of your marketing plan.

For example, 10 years ago you might have placed an ad in a newspaper to promote your store or product. In that ad you may encouraged your market to visit the store or call for more information. Today you can actually sell your products or services online in addition to offline options and that online information can be included in the very same ad that you place in your local newspaper (print or online editions).

The big difference is today instead of including a long or difficult-to-remember URL or physical address in your ad, you can (also) include one of these codes. That way your prospective customers with smart phones can get all the information, they want, by using a special scanner on their phone. Understanding how your prospective customers use QR codes is very important to the success of your QR code strategy.

The QR code consists of square dots in a square pattern against a white background.

Businesses and organizations using QR codes place in them in "high recognition" places, like a magazine ad, a street poster, or dozens of other creative places where the intended buyer is likely to be.

QR Code Readers

Once your intended audience sees the QR code they need to scan it using a procedure that is identical to the process of taking a picture with the exception that they'll require a special "application" or "QR Code Reader App" to scan the code successfully.

They will then be taken to your website or other destination for more information. The code reader application turns a Smartphone into a QR code reader. There are numerous free code reader applications for a variety of Smartphones, including the "QR App" for the iPhone and the "Barcode Scanner" for Androids.

There are some common features of these code readers that you'll want to ensure the Reader creator you choose comes equipped with, including:

• Setting up system alerts

• Displaying text

• Adding events to calendars

• Opening URLs in a browser

• Collecting contact information (for things like contact databases)

• Sending email

• Sending text messages (SMS)

• Geo-location

• Connecting to WiFi

• Calling other phones

The fact that QR codes require the intended audience to have a Smartphone is in many respects a limiting factor you should take into consideration as you create your marketing strategy.

Not everyone owns a smart phone - yet. In fact, a recent 2012 report from Nielson Research indicates that only a little over half of all U.S. mobile subscribers are Smartphone owners. While that is still a large number of people, if your target market is in that half of the population NOT using smart phones you don't want dedicate your valuable marketing time and resources to QR code efforts.

This leads us to an important point that needs to be made about market research. You can't know how each of your customers might interact with your company via these codes but you can use current market research to make intelligent assumptions about who might be more inclined to buy your product.

Popular Forms of Website Marketing

Nowadays, many businesses focus on efforts contributing to high return on investment in marketing their businesses. They are giving emphasis on low costs and high returns approach wherein they shift their focus from the traditional form of marketing to interactive marketing campaigns. Interactive marketing means the next generation techniques like search engine optimization, PPC or pay per click, CPC or cost per click, email and newsletter marketing, mobile marketing and social media marketing.

When correctly done, interactive marketing can offer low cost and highest yield returns allowing you to accurately target the audience that will give you the most revenue and immense amount of data to be track, analyze and refine the marketing campaign. Here are some of the recommended web marketing strategies that will give you desired and long term results.

1. SEO or Search Engine Optimization - This is a comprehensive technique that will move your website up in the search engine results page or SERPs for certain phrases. Most of the search users usually do no move past the first page of the search results so if your website is found in the first ten results of the search, you have a greater chance to be visited by online users. This strategy is excellent for businesses looking for higher visibility and credibility in the minds of prospective clients. It is also idea for companies attempting to obtain long term visibility most especially in overly saturated market and those that are interested in being considered as authoritative source in the industry.

2. PPC or CPC - Pay per clock or cost per click advertising is based on sponsored links to your website that usually appears with the organic or natural search results in Google, Yahoo and other search engines. Such links can be consisting of few links of text or can include video or images. Companies can bid on the search queries that want their ads to appear and charged each time a user click on the ad and comes at their website and this is where it is called pay per click.

3. Email and Newsletter Marketing - These techniques boast one of the highest purchase rates among shoppers online. When customers visit your site or order and sign up for the newsletter of the company, you have an interested segment of prospective clients. By doing some enhancements in the messages contents and by using advanced segmenting tools, newsletters can deliver right information to your target market.

4. Social Media Marketing - This is one of the most effective and widely used techniques today because it is easy and it is where you can find a large pool of potential customers. Some of the social networking sites where you can advertise or market your business successfully include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Myspace, LinkedIn and others. These websites have millions of users and members giving you the opportunity to market your business into a large number of potential buyers.

5. Mobile Marketing - SMS campaigns can alert subscribers of any special deals or offer or give them news, reminders and other information sent directly into the cell phones of potential buyers. Similar to social media marketing, companies can easily build brand identity with this strategy.

When You Comment On a Blog, What Are You Trying to Say?

Man, as a species loves to talk.

We are all about communication and have been throughout history.

The technology we have developed is simply staggering. Going back to cave painting, cave men documenting their lives for future generations, to the world we have today, it has been relentless.

I am out, driving around doing our "day job". Yet I am writing this using a tablet computer connected to the internet using a mobile (cell) phone!

Technology allows the person go set up shop, almost, and to stake a claim, be an authority and specialist in ways we simply couldn't do a mere handful of years ago.

One of the latest tools to allow any man be a somebody is the Blog.

Blogs allow us to share, with anyone who cares to listen, to anything about "your say" to holding political or religious sway over a nation.

They allow us go be experts in our field, to have a voice with distant lands and with people we could never have met such a short time ago.

So we are here - Great!

We are experts - Great!

We write tremendous and helpful articles - GREAT!

And no one comes... Gre... Say what?

No One Comes...

Someone said, "Build it and they will come."

Sorry to break it to you, they won't.

Even if you have the best blog in the world, even if you are the leading expert of "ThingyWhatsIts"

Why?

I like to think of a party, or some other meeting place, it's packed, and everyone is talking.

You are standing in the door way, looking for an expert in "ThingyWhatsIts"

Can you hear him, that expert, the no.1 authority?

I am guessing no. If you can hear someone, it is because they are the loudest, not even the best at times. There will probably be a group around him, all quietly listening to every word. You may even hear some of them calling get you, saying, "You gotta listen to this guy!"

And you do. You stop looking for THE expert, who sits there quietly saying, "I built it, so where are they?"

That is you, and the internet, only a million times worse, and with more and more blogs everyday, it will only get worse.

They Will Only Come If They Know Where It IS

You Have to get YOU out there. You need people to know you, and your blog exist.

Some people turn to advertising, which can be great, IF you have the money to do it.

However, you know that LOUD guy at the party, he is already earning from his site, and can out spend you on advertising.

So You have hardly any visitors, and now you are losing money instead of making some.

Most quit at this stage, but not you!

You Need Some Visitors To Your Site, WITHOUT Paying For Them.

One method, which is not new at all, is blog syndication.

You join a group, and you comment on someone else's blog, and they comment on yours.

Google will see the traffic and the comments, and increase your rank. Slightly.

One problem is that is is always the same people, same IP addresses (IP address is like the street address on the internet) and Google will recognise the pattern. Then, often, new comments from the same people will not count, so you are now wasting time.

I am in a group (The Networking Superstars with Gavin Mountford) that offers this as part of "The System" but has a cleaver rotation system to stop, or limit, the "same people again" problem.

More than that we support others and get support in return.

Now you have some visitors, better yet, you have some comments. And often they are great ego boosters - the commentees will be positive, supportive, and generally AGREE with you, and your points.

And... No one ELSE comes. This blog syndication doesn't work!

Let me tell you a secret, why this strategy doesn't work...

You are doing it wrong!

It's your fault, all your fault!

Some people don't like hearing something is their fault. If it is someone else's fault they are more comfortable. Let me help you see what is wrong with that.

If it is the country's fault, how are you going to fix that? You need to be Prime Minister or President. How's that going?

If it is your company's fault, how you going to fix that? You need to be the CEO How's that going?

You see, if it is your fault, YOU can fix it!

So that is GREAT!

So first, let me check...

You are in a blog syndication system? - I am in This One - Join us!You are commenting on others Blogs? You are getting some, and sometimes it is only some, comments back? And your posts are Worth commenting on in the first place? ( do you give free info, offer value, or try to sell with every breath?)

So you are doing the system, you just might not be working the system.

I like to work the system using a technique I call H!i Jacking.

Hi! Jack Your Way to New Blog Visitors.

Now, you are leaving comments on other people's blogs, but what ARE you saying?

You see, often we comment to on people's blogs because we have to, not because we want to, so give It little thought.

So let's say you visit on comment on Bob's Blog. (Bob is my go to hypothetical example name) You say,

"Great advice Bob.""Good advice Bob.""Terrific insight Bob.""Wonderful post Bob!"

Bob is very happy. Especially if he knows about Hi Jacking!

I come to Bob's blog. It is great, I think, well... It MUST be, there are so many comments all basically saying - great...

No one is having REAL conversations though. And no one seems to disagree. And no one is saying, "Yeah, but it's OK for you... " (almost seems compulsory on a successful persons blog!

You know what, it all kinda looks phony. And, it is always the same people saying great post too... I bet they are not even real people...

Yikes - big backfire!

So, get on with it, how do you Hi! Jack a blog, and turn your comments into traffic?

First,

Get Real!

If a post is not great, don't say, it's great! What poor taste you appear to have, and people can see it too. Remember when I said have posts worth commenting on? I know some people visit my site, but don't leave a comment.

I sometimes visit their site, and don't comment too. You can't comment on everything!

So pick:

something you are interested in,something you blog about.Something you are an expert in.Something you are an AUTHORITY on.

Ask,

questionsClarificationMore infoShow what you know too, by adding more to the conversation.Show you too are an AUTHORITY - and be two AUTHORITIES discussing the topic. If you disagree, do so, but in a nice way. Don't go in calling them an idiot, and they are wrong. It may make you seem more important than the blogger, but also as one who needs to put others down.Would it not be better to simply put another case forward? To offer a difference perspective?A different technique?Would it not be better to be seen as someone who helps all, and is willing to put their hand down, and help pick up the other blogger?I can tell you one thing, other readers will, and will want to see more of "your stuff"

Make sure you make it easy for others to leave comments easily on your blog. Use Comment Luv - there is a free version, so it won't cost you a thing.

When you are commenting on another blog, and the Blog does not use Comment Luv, always leave a little footnote:

Even if the site uses "no follow" code (for search engines) PEOPLE will see it. Even if they have to cut and paste it, they will find you.

When they do, you know you have just learnt how to Hi Jack blog visitors.

Of course, not all the people you need to reach will be in your blog syndication network.

You have to go out there and find them.

Search Google for some blogs on the areas you blog about.Follow them.COMMENT on them.Follow some of the people who comment there, and comment on their blogs too.Find some forums on your blog topic, and put good posts and comment there. Have a link to your blog in your footer, or in your profile.

You may find the people who will be in your community also go to other blogs, so that is a great place to go and find some, on the other blogs.

I hope this technique helps you to make better comments on blogs, and comments that serve you, to drive traffic to your blog.

How to Write an Ad That Gets Targeted Clicks All Day Long

Writing an ad that gets readers to notice and then take action requires some thought and creativity. It is essentially one of the hardest writing jobs available. In order to write effective ad copy you must be able to grab the reader's attention and then get them to follow through by signing up for your newsletter, joining your website, or buying your product. This is a pretty tall order. There are thousands of ads on the Internet; ads are on just about every webpage and on every website, and in order to write effective ad copy you must be able to make your ad stand out from the rest.

Begin by asking yourself who is your audience? Knowing your audience and to whom you are targeting your ad is key to any successful ad copy. You need to be able to write an ad using the words your targeted audience uses. You need to know how to have a conversation with your audience that they find relatable and personable. Writing an ad that elicits emotion and then gives readers an easy to follow call to action has proven to be efficient and get conversions.

1. Research your target audience. Researching your audience and learning everything you can about them will allow you to write much more effective ads. Knowing what inspires and motivates yours readers is essential in creating an ad that will get clicks. Different people use completely different words when searching for the same exact thing. If you want to write great ad copy that converts you must truly be bale to connect with your audience.

Find out what it is your target audience thinks about, how they feel, and what their needs are. If you know what your audience needs than you can give them something useful. Knowing how they think and feel is extremely important because it will allow you to write an ad that gets their attention. While researching your targeted audience keep a list of words and phrases that they use frequently to express themselves and their desires.

Social media is perfect for researching a target audience. After all, millions of people are using Facebook and Twitter right now talking about what interests them and posting their thoughts and feelings on particular issues. Be sure that the language you choose does not sound condescending in any way and that your ad is not annoying. People are annoyed by pop ups and tricks. Be honest about what you are selling when writing ad copy.

2. Understand the extreme importance of your headline. Your headline is your first chance to grab a reader's attention. Think about how many other ads will be on any given page with your ad. Not to mention the website's content all competing for the reader's attention. How do you make yourself stand out from the rest? Knowing what gets the attention of your target audience and how to use it is the key to writing successful ad copy.

Curiosity, emotions, and controversy get most reader's attention fairly easily. Sexuality, erotic and suggestive images and text work as well. Be very careful when using sexuality in your ads. While it is a proven advertising technique it may still offend some.

3. Give the reader a reason to click on your ad. People need a reason to click your ad and it is up to you to give that reason to them. For instance, if your target audience is single men and your objective is to sell them a copy of your new e-book, How to Get the Woman of Your Dreams to Marry You, then you should be able to get their attention by saying something like, "Tired of being alone? Click here to meet someone now" or "Get your free copy of Dating the Woman You Dream about".

While keeping these three major points in mind try your hand at writing ad copy. Remember that just like everything else, practice makes perfect. Research, grab the reader's attention, and then call on them to take action.

Promote Your Website Using Social Networking And Bookmarking

You will agree with me that website promotion and optimization is an integral part of web design and hosting. In the course of creating a web page, there are some various salient points you need to consider and ensure you did not omit as a professional webmaster. These facts are necessities you cannot ignore if you want search engine crawlers to index your web page completely with no mistakes. Having a website with good architecture, beautiful color blending and other seasonal enhancements like flash file, videos and animated images is good but it is not enough to make your website appear at the top pages of search engines like Google. Website promotion is intense and verse just like its counterpart website optimization and monetization. Inexperienced webmasters on many occasions refer website promotion as website optimization and vice versa hence they commit blunders and mix things up as a result of their ineptitude. But after going through this write up, you will be able to clearly distinguish between website promotion and website optimization or monetization. Moreover you will be able to discern the importance of website promotion and how it can be achieved using social networking and bookmarking. Website optimization or monetization is a contemporary of website promotion but there is a thin line of distinction between them. While website promotion involves the various means webmasters employ in the course of making their website appear in the top pages of search engines. Then website optimization or monetization in its basic perspective involves the various online programs we engage in other to earn a few bucks for ourselves. Most of these programs like Google Adsense, Affiliate marketing etc are designed in such a way that before you can earn from it you must have promoted your website well enough to be listed in the top pages of various search engines. Now you can see the relationship between website promotion and optimization. In summary, you can only rip the full dividends of website optimization or monetization only if your website is well promoted and placed in search engine web pages.

Having grasped in detail what website promotion and optimization is all about. The big question is how you can promote your website to soar high in search engine web pages. There are various ways in which a successful webmaster can effectively promote his/her website but we are going to only deliberate on two unique methods which are social networking and social bookmarking.

SOCIAL NETWORKING

There is a cliché in internet marketing that says you get traffic from traffic. This relatively means that one is able to get traffic from search engines not because you rank high in that search engine but because that the search engine gets traffic. Nevertheless you should always endeavor to submit your website or blogs to search engines that have high patronage from the public. So I will advise that you submit your web pages to popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and AOL. Social networking is a great way of harnessing traffic to your website. There are lots of social networking websites nowadays but the very popular ones are Twitter, Facebook and Google +. In the course of this write up I am going to extensively describe how you can tap in to the goldmine that Twitter has provided and drive all the traffic you need to your web pages. There is no gain saying that Twitter is the biggest social networking website and the most trafficked websites in the internet presently. For you to get started with Twitter simply go to Twitter.com and set up your profile. It is really easy to understand but always remember to post your website on your profile for your followers to see and visit it. It is true that twitter has enormous traffic but you need to know how to use it effectively before you can rip from its verse traffic base. Twitter is simply a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allow its users to send and receive messages known as tweets. Tweets are text based post of up to 140 characters displayed o the authors profile page and are easily accessed by the authors subscribers referred to as followers. The secret towards excelling in twitter is for you to be active. To be active in twitter you have to post your tweets several times daily, reply to your followers tweets and most importantly ensure that you follow many people. It is very important to follow a lot of people in twitter so that you can stand a chance of them having access to your tweets which ordinarily they couldn't have if you do not follow them.

We want you to know that we have unraveled the main points you need to know about Twitter as a type of social networking strategy for harnessing traffic to your website. We want you to always remember that social networking is an already proven method of website promotion and optimization because it is where most people are once they set up their server (any computer in a network like a computer connected to the World Wide Web).

Because social networking is fun you might not know when you are stuck up in it all day. So I suggest you make out time for each method of website promotion and optimization lest you forget to pay attention to all of them.

SOCIAL BOOKMARKING

Just like social networking, social bookmarking is a key element of web 2.0 and a very good way of harnessing traffic to your website. Social bookmarking is a very easy, free and fast way of website promotion and optimization. Social bookmarking are places where registered users can list or bookmark their favorite websites while tapping in to the pool of traffic possessed by these websites. The twist is that users can share their bookmarks to other users of the social bookmarking website thereby generating massive backlinks to your website. And you know that search engine spiders love backlinks and that quality backlinks will definitely improve your website PR (page rank) in search engines.

There are various social bookmarking websites scattered all over the internet but I am going to illustrate in details how you can use Onlywire (a social bookmarking website) to promote and optimize your website real fast. To get started with Onlywire you have to register on their platform for free after which you will be presented with a list of other social bookmarking websites that you will also have to register with. Go back to Onlywire and key in the username and password you used in registering in those websites, save it by clicking the save button. Follow the instructions provided by Onlywire and remember to move Onlywire icon in to your tool bar for you to start social bookmarking.

Then go to each page on your website and click the Onlywire icon in your tool bar and it will take you to a page in Onlywires. Fill in the required information and remember to tag each page with the right keyword before you submit. Onlywire will subsequently send that bookmark together with its tag to those social bookmarking websites that you initially registered with at onlywire.com. You are required to repeat this process for each page on your website and any time you add a new page.

This will assist grossly in positioning your website at the top pages of search engines like Google whenever any member of those social bookmarking websites key in a keyword that is relative linked to the keyword tags in your onlywire posts. Your website pops up hence you get the required traffic you need, isn't that beautiful and fast.

Searching for Answers?

Over the years, searching has become more refined. Along with search engines, searchers are changing and learning to search more effectively. Most of us do not wish to scroll through endless pages to get our answer; we would like to get to the relevant answer instantly. This has triggered the need to provide instructions to search engines, in terms of key phrases, as clearly as possible.

For instance, I want to find up the show timings for a particular show in a movie hall near where I live. In the search engine, search box, I type:

"++"

I get a lot of search results. I quickly scan the titles, and descriptions for each result. If I find a match to exactly what I am looking for, I will certainly click on that result, but If the movie hall's website features in the list, and even if it is down below, I would prefer to check the show timings from the actual website of the movie hall rather than go through a third party. Experience has taught me that more often than not, it is good to rely on the actual site; this may not always be true, of course.

Two factors that really matter to searchers:

Relevancy and Trust

If you want to buy anything online, you will most likely buy from a well-known site and not from any site. That is when trust becomes very-very important.

Also, when we wish to look up facts, why do we invariably go to Wikipedia?

That's because it has established itself as one of the most authoritative sites on a variety of subjects.

How do you establish trust for your website?

There are various ways of doing that. First and foremost, your website should be what you proclaim it to be. Ensure that you have the most relevant and original content on your website.

You might want to ask for reviews and testimonials for the products and services that you offer. The reviews and testimonials should be genuine, if required, get permission from your customers, and allow your potential customers to reach out to them.

If you are providing excellent service, there should be a way of letting more people know. Social networking is perhaps one of the best ways of reaching out to your existing customers, interacting with them, providing solutions, and attracting new customers. You will eventually see an increase in relevant traffic to your website. This will not happen overnight... but you will start noticing changes from the two-three months onwards.

Coupled with SEO (Search engine optimization) strategies, your website is sure to get the recognition it deserves, but it does require a disciplined approach (as in, following the SEO best practices) and a continuous effort.

Viral Marketing: 4 Reasons You'd Want Your Business To Get Infected

The term viral marketing was coined in 1996 by Jeffrey F. Rayport. It was defined as a strategy that emboldens people to disseminate marketing message to others, which results to an exponential growth in the publicity and influence of the message. Viral marketing stems from internet marketing.

Viral advertising aims at targeting its listeners and onlookers more precisely. So, in principle, viral advertising contrasts conventional advertising methods in that rather than trying to propagate a message through an old-style satiety tactic like the billboards you see in highways with brands posted all over it, it publicizes itself through linkages and networks of associates, acquaintances, friends and enthusiasts sharing mutual interests.

Viral marketing and advertising utilize current social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, being two of the most famous social networking sites to escalate product consciousness, dispersing through a group of individuals like that of a computer virus. Like that virus, it spreads from one individual to another transmitting it to many other individuals. Viral marketing takes advantage of this inherent behavior to quickly spread a message.

When a viral campaign is spread as broadly as probable and is met and accepted positively, that is when it becomes effective. Microsoft's Hotmail for instance, managed to have 12 million subscribers in just 18 months! How did they go about their viral campaign? They simply added a short promotional message to emails which were sent to their users. How genius was that? And to think, during those times, internet use was not as extensive as it is today.

The fundamental key to viral advertising consequently lies in effectively targeting smaller numbers of persuasive individuals who have the standing and influences to spread the message. Accordingly, one of the pronounced benefits of a viral campaign is that it does not necessitate the same level of investment of money unlike the conventional methods which is more costly.

Viral marketing is the new marketing and publicizing fashion today, especially to those businesses that are online by nature. It takes advantage of the social media and other internet social sites to advertise and reach people in just a little amount of time.

Here are the 4 Reasons Viral Marketing is beneficial to businesses.

1. It doesn't involve a huge amount of funds. Viral marketing is cheaper than the usual advertising and marketing strategies. Given a little investment, the return could be an overwhelming number of people who similarly advertises the company. The money spent is usually invested on the initial contents, and since replicating the content and forwarding it does not need additional cost, you are likely to save more money for your company's advertising.

2. Good sense of target. The aim of viral marketing is to spread the message to targets which in turn will forward it to other equally interested and active people. And since this is the concept of viral marketing, there is little percentage of futile and fruitless advertising.

3. Easy to implement and achieve. Viral marketing is a strategy that is very easy to do. There are a lot of ways to make your advertisement viral, you can send messages and emails with viral contents and it spread like an actual virus. Plus, doing these doesn't take that too much time to complete.

4. Great and Rapid Response Percentage. Since viral marketing is able to reach a big number of markets, there is a huge probability that a high turnover percentage could also be expected.

Top 5 Ways to Get Your Website Noticed Effectively!

1. Spread your website's link all over the web
The best and yet the most effective way (if done correctly) to get your website noticed is to spread your online existence by submitting your website link all over the internet. Consider submitting your website to different search engines, directories, blogs, forums and other online platforms. Do make sure that you place links on sites which are relevant to your industry for example: women's skirt should be introduced in a shop where it is sold.

2. Promote your website on different social media sites
As a common fact, social media sites are really helpful in getting your website noticed and sending tons of traffic. Consider promoting your website on different social media sites like Facebook, Reddit, Twitter and other similar platforms.

3. Communicate with your readers more and more
The more you communicate with your users the more the discussion and eventually the more chances of getting your website noticed. Many website owners don't bother to reply to the feedbacks of their users and thus fail to utilize the free opportunity. Therefore interact more and more with your users and reply with the best response in a timely manner!

4. Create a blog
A blog has more traffic than a website due to regular updates that the user searches for. So consider creating a blog for your website and publish posts on a regular basis. You shall definitely see a boost in your site's daily traffic.

5. Put up competitions, prizes, coupons, and free classes or download stuff!
The world of internet is full of freebies. Hence, take advantage from this fact. Publish online competitions for example: the best content on (x) topic wins and other similar things. You can also distribute free coupons or conduct free online classes on topics related to your industry. You may also publish free downloading stuff. This way you will get your website noticed on a larger scale and thus you will get tons of traffic.

If you run an online advertising agency to provide your clients best visitors according to their niche, you should consider applying the above 5 ways for boosting the traffic of your clients' websites. Natural traffic so far in these days is hard enough to drive as there are too many fake traffic websites in current era of World Wide Web. Digital Marketing Trends 2012

Recently, the Australian Marketing Institute Breakfast meeting held a meeting with a theme "Where to Next?" Three of the best digital marketing trends in Australia were presented and the insights were given emphasis.

One of the presenters was Steve Sammartino, a planning and integration directory from Grey. He discussed how the integration of technology changes the way people normally do their business. He supported his idea by presenting some of the insights from the Eye on Australia 2012 research.

The examples given by Steve are similar to what the author of UnMarketing, Scott Stratten. Having an Australian perspective that have a research results to back up the claims makes the topic more interesting.

Fragmentation on Media
Time will come that it is advertisers will have a difficulty and would spend more money just to reach specific audiences. This is due to the more and more people have the luxury to subscribe on the channels they like online. While it is true that there will still be people that are going to print ads and television, it is also true that building a channel for your brand will become popular soon.

It is a wise decision to start building a brand channel that people can interact with.

Shifting from Interruption Marketing to Permission Marketing
Spamming social networks with the business you are promoting is not helpful at all. How you talk in the social communities should also be similar to how you talk personally.

The internet is now becoming a medium where people can interact without seeing each other personally. It is an interesting way to still communicate and facilitate conversation virtually.

The trend today is for businesses to think out of the box and engage in a conversation rather than merely blabbing about their product.

Anyone can make anything
Nowadays, people are not interest on what company makes what. They are more interested in how certain brands can enhance the quality of life. Thinking how we can improve people's lifestyle is the key.

Smart Phones
The invention of smart phones has an impact on the people's lifestyle. This is because smart phones allow us to be connected with one another 24/7. It makes our lives easier by allowing us to talk, to instruct our phones, to search for the things we need or the places we want to go. It is safe to say that smart phones have become a necessity not just a luxury.

The massive use of smart phone is a proof that we are undergoing through a revolution. With this, it is not easier to have a voice and be heard.

Reinventing Ideas
There are a lot of ways on how we can integrate and make use of technology in our businesses. The key is to generate ideas and mash them up.

What is true today may not be necessarily true tomorrow. At some point, the Yellow pages was the popular "go to" item people who need something, now its Google.

Before, people would go to music stores and buy CDs. Now, nearly all music can be downloaded on iTunes and payments can be made online.

Constantly reinvent your business to be able to cope with the new technological trend. This way, we can be sure that we are securing our business with the number of customers rather than the infrastructure.
